We know that teens are not willing to share a lot of information about school with their parents. That can make it difficult to know what is going on at school. You can rest easy knowing we’ve included the most important information for you here on our news page. Check in frequently as we update this page often for you.
As we wrap up the year, we have a choir concert on May 9 and a band concert on May 16. Come out and enjoy the music! Both events will begin at 6:00 p.m. in our PAC.
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6 through May 10 and is a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude and recognize the incredible work our teachers do every day to educate and inspire our students. We invite you to join us in showing appreciation and take the time to thank them for their hard work and dedication. Your support means a lot to us and our teachers.
Do you love Disney music? Join us on Thursday, May 9, as Westview’s choirs will present “A Night of Disney” that will feature an array of Disney’s musical selections! The concert features chorus, concert choir, vocal ensemble, and soloists singing music from your Disney favorites. The concert starts at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9 in the WHS Performing Arts Center. We can’t wait to see you there!
Summer school is at West Point HS. If interested in having your child attend summer school, please complete our summer school interest form, and a counselor will follow up by phone or email to verify enrollment, session, and available classes. Parents and students will also receive a printed letter and email with their personalized information if we recommend summer school.
Graduation is near! We invite you to stay updated on important reminders and information about our Westview Graduation 2024.
In order for TUHSD and WHS to keep safety and security a priority, we are enforcing the following:
- Good Sportsmanship is an expectation for all. Inappropriate behavior or language may result in removal from the event.
- We do not permit bags/backpacks/oversized purses at our events (may be subject to a search).
- No outside food or drink is permitted in our events (gym, PAC, Fields).
- Please consume food/drink in the appropriate designated area.
With graduation rapidly approaching, we have a lot to look forward to! Please take note of the following important dates:
- Friday, February 23: FAFSA Food Truck Friday
- Celebrate with us if you have completed your FAFSA!
- Tuesday, April 2: EMCC Field Trip
- Friday, May 3: Scholarship Awards Ceremony
- Tuesday, May 14–Thursday, May 16: Senior Finals
- Thursday, May 16: Finalize Senior Checkout
- Friday, May 17: Graduation Practice at 8:00 a.m.in the Gym.
- Tuesday, May 21: Graduation at State Farm Arena
- Seniors, please arrive at noon. The ceremony will start at 1:00 p.m.
The Tolleson Union High School District Governing Board voted on February 6, 2024, to change school boundaries for the 2024–2025 school year. The changes will help to evenly distribute student enrollment and account for future growth. The affected schools include Copper Canyon High School, La Joya Community High School, Westview High School, and West Point High School.

Los cambios ayudarán a distribuir uniformemente la inscripción de los estudiantes y tendrán en cuenta el crecimiento futuro. All graduations take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale. We will update seniors about graduation and more as we approach these dates.
